3 days after Hurricane Matthew hit has provided a silver lining. Everyone is telling stories about their hurricane experience. Some folks lost all their trees, parts of roofs, roads disappeared, some still don't have electricity, some folks gathered their elderly parents and left town, got stuck on the road, traveled 500 miles to find a hotel. But the underlining story is that everyone is pulling together to help. Neighborhoods are coming together, church groups are traveling around to help seniors with yard brush and chop trees down, chamber of commerce is calling business to check on their well being. Everyone has a story of "almost got us...could have been so much worse... thank God not". With election and world news that separates us, mother nature has found a way to remind us we are one humanity!
